Compensation Analyst
This position will report to the HR manager and serve as a compensation resource providing strong compensation support to the HR department and ultimately the company. It will participate in compensation projects, such as the development of a corporate bonus program, transition to a common review date, and Pay for Performance Plan. The position will assist other managers in the development of job descriptions and will perform job evaluation, market pricing and other compensation activities.
Ø Identify, analyze and resolve problems/inquiries related to compensation policies, practices and processes.
Ø Develop and/or update job descriptions according to established format.
Ø Participate in market surveys and analyze the results to ensure the Company's salary rates and structures remain competitive in the market.
Ø Assist with research and analysis of compensation.
Ø Participate in audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ø Support annual wage & salary administration and the annual merit pay planning process.
Ø Analysis of base salary, total cash and total direct compensation.
Ø Administration of variable pay plans to ensure compliance with global and regional guidelines.
Ø Submit annual compensation data for multiple salary survey submittals
Administration of SAP HR for jobs, titles, grades and FLSA
Assures thorough audits, reports and reviews are conducted so that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Ø Ensure compensation practices are in compliance with all state and federal requirements, (i.e. FLSA, EEOC, etc.)
Ø Experience with job evaluation, using market pricing
Critical Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Mathematics,
Accounting, Finance, Economics or related area preferred.
(Minimum) 5 years experience in Compensation field and compensation processing
Must have experience in compensation modeling and setting up a compensation program
Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and within a team to meet established deadlines.
Must have Strong analytical skills, Excellent organization and follow-up and Analytical skills and ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong mathematical aptitude. Knowledge of business / accounting principles
Ability to analyze compensation-related data for needed corrections and making recommendations for change
High integrity and accuracy for processing confidential information and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in a professional and trustworthy manner
Advanced use of MS-Excel, MS-Access desirable. Strong proficiency in industry standard PC applications and systems (i.e. Excel, Word).
Knowledge of applicable Human Resources laws (i.e., State and Federal labor laws, FLSA, etc.).
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) a plus
